From question and answer to solve the puzzle, there are a huge variety of options to make sure your conversation never gets old. Everyone likes to play games, from little kids to adults. Granted, the games change a little bit but it’s always fun to keep things light and playful.  If you start to be playful and have fun with games then that will translate into other people being in a good mood.

“I have often noticed how primate groups in their entirety enter a similar mood. All of a sudden, all of them are playful, hopping around. Or all of them are grumpy. Or all of them are sleepy and settle down. In such cases, the mood contagion serves the function of synchronizing activities.” – Frans de Waal

1. 10 Questions

You can play two variations of the questions game that will definitely keep you entertained for a while. One variation is that one person comes up with a noun in their mind (person, place, or thing) and the other person has to guess what it is by asking 10 yes or no questions. For example, if the word was dog the other person could ask the following: Is it an animal? Is it less than 100 pounds? Is it a pet? Then continue until you finally ask, is it a dog?

The other type of question game is to let each person as the other person 10 questions that they have to answer truthfully. The questions can be about whatever you want, but you have to limit it to 10. Go back and forth with each question until you’re done. At the end, you’re sure to know more about each other and strike up a conversation.

2. Would You Rather?

Another fun game is to play Would You Rather? In this instance, one person asks the other, would you rather X or Y? Popular variations are to eat two gross things, kiss one of two people, etc. After the first person answers, you can go on to the next person and up the ante and ask an even better would you rather.

A tip is that you want to make sure both options are somewhat equally good or bad so that it’s not a very easy decision to choose one or the other. Then you can see what the values are of the other person or what they think is more gross.

3. Tell A Story

This is one of my personal favorite games. Each person tells a make believe story that is detailed and well thought out. It can be as realistic or fantasy as you want it to be. My favorite are stories that involve other worlds, fighting, and adventure. You can tell a romance story, comedy, etc.

The goal here is to tell a story that will get the other person interested and hooked on your every word. That way, you can keep up the interest.

 4. Guess The Quote

The next Kik game is to guess a quote. This can be tough if the other person cheats and looks up the quote but you will have to agree not to look up the quote on Google. Basically, you say a quote from a song, movie, book, etc. Then, the other person has to guess what the quote if from. You may want to let them know what genre it’s from or whether it is a book, movie, song, etc.

You basically can continue as long as you’d like until you’re tired of guessing the quote. This is a good game because it lets you chat with your friend and find interests that you may not otherwise have known about. This game often leads to chatting about a favorite band, book, or movie.

5. List The Category

This game is pretty self explanatory. Basically, one person suggests a category, such as Marvel characters, T-shirt brands, states in the USA, etc. From there, you go back and forth and you have to name something from the category. The first person who can’t name any more things in that category looses. You can’t repeat words obviously, and make sure the other person doesn’t look up online some answers or it won’t be very much fun. Depending on what category you choose, it says a bit about yourself and your interests and hobbies.

6. Rhyme Competition

The first person comes up with a sentence that is short and has a certain theme to it. Then, the second person has to come up with a sentence that rhymes with the first one that is the same theme or different. Then, you go back and forth rhyming until someone can’t rhyme anymore and looses.

This is a super fun game as the sentences and rhymes often get pretty crazy and out there. Make sure you start off with a good last word that has rhyming words, though, to make it easier to play the game. Starting off with the last word as “orange” is pretty much a game killer.

7. Add A Letter

This game is a brain teaser and will get you thinking pretty hard. The first person starts off with a letter, then you go back and forth adding 1 letter to the word. However, there are a few rules. You must not actually ever spell a word or else you loose. Also, you must know what the actual word is you’re spelling. The key is to spell a long word that the other person doesn’t know.

For example if someone starts with “T”, you wouldn’t be able to add “O” since it would make a full word. However, you could add “E” or “A” if you were trying to spell something like technology or tantalizing. It’s fun to go back and forth if you both have similar vocabularies and are similarly good at spelling.

That wraps up this list of the absolute best Kik games that you can ask your friends to strike up a fun and interesting conversation.
