The time period from about the middle of September until October 31st is what I like to call “Halloween season”. It’s the time where we start planning our costumes, pumpkin carvings, and (of course) spooky house decorations. It does take quite a bit of preparation and planning, but I use Kik to help me out with all my Halloween planning, from parties all the way to costumes. Kik is a great app to use to not only talking to your friends, but also with new people you meet. Now you should always be careful when meeting strangers online, so make sure you follow these guidelines:

Kik and Halloween

No, I’m not crazy when I say that Kik can help you out with Halloween. Here are some cool ways you can use Kik to help you spooky prep:

Kik Bots

Kik Bots are a great, and unique, feature that Kik has that you can utilize. We have gone pretty in depth into Kik Bots before (which you can find here) so we will just shortly cover this. Kik Bots are automated AI bots that you can start a chat with that can connect you to companies and games. People can also make their own bots that you can chat with, so you aren’t just limited to company bots. These bots can help you set up bedrooms, plan parties, tell you jokes, or can even tell you the news and weather.

So how can these bots help you prepare for Halloween? Well with chat bots you can get Halloween emojis, and even talk to bots to help you set up Halloween parties. If you are planning a party you probably need friends to come over for that party. Here is something we haven’t talked about for a while; Kik parties. Y’all remember what Kik parties are? I will just give y’all a reminder (you can read all about them here). A Kik party is a very popular, and large, group text that has an actual start time and has 1 or 2 hosts (or admins). Many times people can virtually hang out and meet new friends. Many Kik parties have a Kik Code so people can quickly, and easily, find your party.

These parties are often themed (like real life parties) so that means you can either find an awesome Halloween themed party or you can create your own themed Kik party. Here are some themes you might want to think about:

• Ghost
• Jack o Lantern
• Hocus Pocus
• Nightmare Before Christmas

• Day of The Dead
• Monsters

Obviously there are way more themes you can do for your Kik party, but these are just a few of our favorites.

What do you do with those themes? Well you can start conversations with the theme, and tailor your stickers and emojis to that specific theme. Another idea is to exchange themed GIFs, which is my personal favorite.

Getting Into the Halloween Mood

Kik can also help you simply get into the Halloween mood. They feature many ways to communicate with your friends, so why not send get in the mood? Send spooky pictures, emojis, stickers, and even GIFs to help you mentally prep. To be honest with y’all I get into the Halloween about halfway through September because Halloween is my favorite holiday. But Kik helps me spread my Halloween cheer with all my unsuspecting friends.
